Dropping off some clothing donations at the temporarily relocated homeless centre I realized just how amazing of a city Calgary is. I've heard a lot over the past few days about all the volunteers and all the donations and all the people helping those affected by the flood. But today I saw it for myself. There were so many volunteers, and they were so kind and thankful! There was even a homeless man carrying the bags of donated clothing from my car. I've heard stories of those losing their homes, all their belongings, all the things they've worked so hard for. And I've heard the stories of all the love and support they are getting. As unfortunate as this situation is, it's incredible what it's bringing out in all of those living here.
Often times, I don't think many people think outside their own little world. But wow, could I ever be wrong. It warms my heart to see so many people helping. And my gratitude for having the home that I live in has absolutely sky-rocketed.
Stay strong Calgary.

I'd love to hear what you have to say, about what I have to say.
