Agra
Agra. The city of love! Taj Mahal. The temple of love! This has been my day. I can literally feel the love that radiates in this place. Seeing the Taj Mahal in real like was so surreal and so much more different than I was expecting. The story of the Taj Mahal, in case you didn't know, is (very roughly) that it was built by a king for his wife that died giving birth to their 14th child. This man was so deeply in love with her that he spent 22 years building this 'Grand Palace' for her tomb. How does that kind of love exist?! It's so beautiful and so moving and being there was an experience that I am so grateful for. It was really neat to be able to go into it (where the tomb is) and experience the energy change that happens. Immediately you could feel immense sorrow and sadness, even the sounds inside were eery. The difference from the inside to the outside was like night and day, black and white, heartbreak and love. Usually I'm not a big fan of sightseeing but I spent so much time just sitting an looking at this magnificent building. I watched the sun go down over the mosque that was next to the Taj Mahal while sitting on the white marble. And then I sat on the steps of the mosque watching the colors of the sunset reflect off of the white marble of the Taj Mahal. And to end the night off we sat and ate dinner on the rooftop of our hotel which overlooked the Taj Mahal and the monkey covered rooftops of the city.

I'd love to hear what you have to say, about what I have to say.
