Things I Don't Want To Forget About Thailand:

  • Rice is eaten with EVERY meal
  • Strays are EVERYWHERE, cats & dogs, sleeping anywhere and everywhere
  • Cat and dog fights are a very common occurance
  • Blue flowers are delicious
  • The eggs and bananas here are incredible
  • It is so so so unbelievably hot and humid, I have never sweat so much in my entire life, or have had dirtier clothes
  • Everyone drives on the opposite side of the road and the steering wheel is on the opposite side of the car
  • Motorcycles seem to be the preferred mode of transportation, even when driving with a baby
  • You take your shoes off before going into buildings, and you are barefoot almost all of the time
  • The toilets are squat toilets and the use of toilet paper is very rare. "Wet is clean" here, and butt sprayers are used instead
  • "mmhmm" is more like "uh-uh-uh-uh-uh"
  • The showers are so so cold & it feels SO good
  • Bugs. Are. EVERYWHERE. And they're either extremely tiny or extremely large.
  • 1$ = 30 Baht
  • There doesn't really seem to be any rules for the road
  • Things are measured in kilometres and litres, etc.
  • Thai children are extra cute.
  • When it rains, it pours.
  • Thai people are extremely considerate.
  • Beds and hut floors are all extremely hard and uncomfortable, but some how I've gotten such incredible nights sleep.
  • The sun goes down at 6, and bed time follows very shortly after. And mornings are super early, but it's enjoyable!
  • American/Canadian food in Thailand is fantastic!

I'd love to hear what you have to say, about what I have to say.
